From long to wide

  1. Select 'Long to wide'
  2. Select the key column and the variable. For example if you want to observe the value of  'Population' across several 'Year', then:
  • Population is the key value (Most left column)
  • Year is the variable (Header values).

Using two key columns.

You can set two columns as keys by checking the '2nd key' option.

 From wide to long

  1. Select 'long to wide'
  2. Select the key column - the set of values you want as the most left column.

The module will create a variable column and a value column.

In long format table, each row is an observation: a unique combination of values.
